Christmas Mini Sessions: What’s Included and How to Book
Every year, the same thing happens. December arrives, everything speeds up, and the photo that was meant to happen never does. This year, I’d love to help with that.
I’m opening a small number of Christmas mini sessions on Sunday 8th November and Monday 9th November at Burnham Beeches. They are short, relaxed and made for families who want a few natural, honest photos without the pressure of a full session.
Why Book a Christmas Mini Session?
Let’s be honest, December gets busy. Between the school nativity, the work do’s and trying to remember where you hid the presents, getting a family photo done can feel like one more thing on the list. That’s exactly why I love Christmas minis.
They’re short and sweet. Each session is 30 minutes, which is just right for little ones. We’ll have time to get a lovely mix of photos, but not so long that anyone gets tired, grumpy or hungry. No stress, no perfect poses, just you and your family enjoying each other while I capture it.
You’ll have your photos in time for Christmas. Cards for friends and family, a gift for the grandparents, or a print to put up at home. Booking now means you’re not rushing around in December.
You’ll be in the photos too. I hear this all the time from parents: “I’m never in any of them!” This is your chance to change that. These are the pictures your children will treasure when they look back.
It’s a moment in time you can’t get back. Children change so quickly. The little face you’re looking at now will look different by next Christmas, and a photo of this year, just as it is, is something you’ll keep forever.
It’s easy. Pick your slot, turn up, and I’ll guide you through the rest. I’ve been around babies and young children my whole life, so I know how to keep things relaxed and fun, even if your little one has other ideas!
What a Mini Session Looks Like
Each session is 30 minutes, which is plenty of time for little ones to warm up and for us to capture real moments: the cuddles, the giggles, the quiet looks between each other. There’s no stiff posing and no forced smiles, just you, your people and a bit of Christmas magic. I keep things simple and outdoors, with no backdrop, so the photos feel like your family, not a set.

A few tips
Wear what feels like you. Soft, cosy layers look gorgeous outside in winter, and I’m happy to help you choose.
Think about the weather. We’re in England in December, so bring a coat and enjoy it.
Little ones don’t need to be perfect. Snacks, comfort toys and a bit of patience go a long way, and I’m very used to working with babies and children.
My favourite photos from my own childhood aren’t the posed ones. They’re the ones where you can feel the love in the room. That’s what I hope to give your family this Christmas.
