Terms and Conditions

1. Booking & Retainer Fee

A non-refundable retainer fee is required to secure your booking date and time.

Bookings are only confirmed once:

  • the retainer fee has been paid, and

  • any required booking forms or agreements have been completed.

The remaining balance must be paid before the session date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Payments

Payments can be made via bank transfer or other agreed payment methods.

Failure to complete payment by the agreed deadline may result in cancellation of the booking or delay in gallery delivery.

Prices are subject to change at any time, however confirmed bookings will always honour the quoted package price.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule your session, please provide as much notice as possible.

  • Sessions may be rescheduled once with a minimum of 48 hours notice.

  • Retainer fees are non-refundable but may be transferred to a new date where agreed.

  • In the event of severe weather, illness, or emergency, a new session date will be arranged where possible.

By Bethany Josephine Photography reserves the right to reschedule sessions due to unsafe weather conditions, illness, or circumstances beyond control.

4. Late Arrivals

Please arrive 5 minutes early for your session.

Late arrival may reduce shooting time to avoid impacting other bookings. Sessions arriving significantly late may be cancelled without refund.

5. Photography Style & Editing

Clients acknowledge that they are booking By Bethany Josephine Photography based on the photographer’s portfolio, editing style, and artistic approach.

Final images are edited in the photographer’s signature style and artistic discretion.

RAW/unedited images are not provided.

Additional editing requests beyond standard retouching may incur an additional fee.

6. Image Delivery

Final galleries are delivered via an online gallery link.

Estimated delivery times:

  • Standard sessions: approximately 2–3 weeks

  • Busy periods may require additional time

Clients will be notified if delays occur.

Galleries should be downloaded promptly. By Bethany Josephine Photography is not responsible for storing final images indefinitely.

7. Additional Images & Products

Packages include the number of images outlined at the time of booking.

Additional images, prints, albums, or products may be purchased separately where available.

Prices for add-ons and products are subject to change.

8. Copyright & Usage

All images remain the copyright of By Bethany Josephine Photography.

Clients receive personal-use rights to:

  • download

  • print

  • share images online

Images may not be:

  • altered with heavy filters or editing

  • sold commercially

  • submitted to publications or businesses without written permission

Please credit @bybethanyjosephine where possible when sharing online.

9. Portfolio & Social Media Use

By booking a session, clients grant permission for By Bethany Josephine Photography to use selected images for:

  • portfolio display

  • website content

  • Instagram and social media

  • marketing and promotional purposes

If you would prefer your images remain private, this must be requested in writing before gallery delivery and will always be respected.

10. Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for:

  • arriving prepared and on time

  • bringing agreed outfits or items

  • supervising children during sessions

  • informing the photographer of any important accessibility or safety considerations

By Bethany Josephine Photography is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or damages occurring during sessions.

11. Force Majeure

If the session cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond reasonable control — including severe weather, illness, emergencies, government restrictions, or equipment failure — every effort will be made to reschedule the booking.

12. Website & Communication

All content, images, and branding displayed on this website and social media remain the property of By Bethany Josephine Photography and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.
